EARTH FARE opened today in Knoxville

earthfaresignTHE HUSBAND here…

I usually leave all the grocery store investigations up to CouponKatie, but today I found myself on a construction site near the new Earth Fare store in Knoxville (the Bearden store -140 N Forest Park Blvd.
Knoxville, TN 37919).  Since I usually have a camera with me when visiting job sites, I thought I’d venture into a little bit of investigative journalism and see what all the buzz is about.

First of all, the parking lot was pretty full and lots of activity outside the store.

Green Tree Apparel was selling t-shirts and other wares out front.

Keep Knoxville Beautiful was also there. By the way, if you don’t have your “Don’t Throw Down on K-TOWN” sticker, you can go here for instructions on how to obtain one.

Also, just inside the front door, were some great folks representing BEARDSLEY COMMUNITY FARM.

Here are a couple of the “farmers” hard at work making hats for all.

Finally I made my way into the store, and what can I say.  A bright, crisp, clean, nice smelling and EXTREMELY BUSY store.

(they have a soup bar, a salad bar, and I’m pretty sure I saw FREE SAMPLES)

I will definitely will be back.

Don’t tell CK…she says you’re not supposed to go grocery shopping when you’re hungry.

I have lunch plans to put a hurting on that soup and salad bar.

Oh yeah…and you can follow Earth Fare on Twitter (@earthfare)
