Thanks to a readers question for reminding me of Swagbucks. I used it a lot last year and it really helped out with the Christmas budget. When I got a netbook I neglected to upload the toolbar and have since sort of forgotten about it. So, that is why I say thanks to a reader, Mandy, who asked “What is Swagbucks?”
Swagbucks is an online search engine that rewards you for searching online. I am in general a Google fan but if I can earn rewards for just searching why not?
It is easy and free to sign up for. There are no fees, no credit card required, and no phone number or address requested.
You will get 30 Swagbucks just for signing up. Then, use Swagbucks.com or install their toolbar to do all of your searching from now on. As you search you will earn Swagbucks. You can then trade in your points for prizes or my favorite- gift cards.
It takes 450 points to get a $5 Amazon card or 700 points to get $5 Paypal cash. There are also Starbucks, Target, Barnes and Noble and many other rewards to chose from. Now the points may sound high and the rewards low, but I have found points add up quickly.
Do you already use Swagbucks? Do you think it is worth it? I would love to hear your thought. If you do a lot of online searching and are not already a Swagbucks user give it a try.
