Black Friday Store hours: When Are You Heading Out?

Much to my mother’s disappointment I am not much of a Black Friday shopper. I totally understand the strategic planning, the thrill of the hunt and the exhilaration of getting an unbelievable deal.  I just don’t like big pushy crowds or getting up at 3 am.

How about you? Are you a big Black Friday shopper? What time do you get up?

If  you will be joining my mom on Black Friday I thought it would be helpful to have a list of stores that are opening early. It is not comprehensive so if there is a store you can’t wait to get to leave a comment and let me know and tell us when they are opening.

  1. Kohls is opening at 3 am. =) Eddie Bauer and The Childrens Place at West Town are opening at midnight too. =)
I thought Toys R Us was opening at 10 pm Thganksgiving night, but I am not sure of this. Thanks!

  2. Thanks so much for the heads up on the additional stores at the Mall. I called the Toys r Us near my home and you are right 10pm Thanksgiving night. Wow.

  3. I do not go out. I thought about it last year, but changed my mind. I saw Toys R Us on the news last year. It was so crowded that all the people couldn’t get in to the store. There really isn’t anything I want that badly!

  5. I did it once, went with The Girl Friends, shopped ate a huge breakfast and went home for a nap. Did not find it worth it. My Black Friday is the day or two after Christmas when I can buy little things for teachers, co-workers, gift wrap etc. The only time this back fired on me was when a critter got into the garage and (grrrrr!) chewed up my tissue, paper, gift wrap and collection of holiday hand towels I bought at half price. This year I hung them from nails on the cross beams!
