Earth Fare Free Family Dinner Night: What I Thought

I have been telling you about Earth Fare’s Free Family Dinner night for awhile but, it was not until last week that we had a chance to check it out. Thursdays, from 4-8pm kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal valued at $5 or more. You can get up to 6 free kids meals for each adult meal purchased. (Six if you are dining in, if you are ordering to go I believe the limit is two unless the children are with you. This is a change due to some people taking advantage of the deal. Shame, shame.)

I must say I was impressed.  The quality and size of the kids meals was great . My boys each got a sandwich (one of them chose pizza) a bowl of fruit, yogurt and a drink. I chose a wrap and was pleased with how fresh all of the produce was. THE HUSBAND chose some great pesto chicken sandwich. (I took a bite when he got up for water refills.)

Ordering was easy and, although there were several people there, orderly. I felt comfortable letting the boys chose whatever they wanted on the menu, so they really enjoyed the trip.

I am not sure how Earth Fare is making money or breaking even on such a generous deal. (Maybe they are hoping people will do what we did, wonder around the store and not be able to resist buying a few yummy looking things.)   I do know it is a great deal for families- a good tasting, nutritious, affordable dinner out!

If you have not been to Earth Fare’s Free Family Dinner night you really should check it out.

**I have not been asked to write this review nor am I getting any compensation from Earth Fare to do so.  I wrote it because we had a great time last week. It is a great deal on good food for families, and mommies, who sometimes need someone else to make dinner!

We have been there for a “fitness day” last spring. We had the same dinner deal but for lunch. It was really good. We use CycleBank and ALWAYS get the Earthfare 5 dollar off coupon. I use it to get those little single serve packs of chocolate soy milk for my son’s lunch box. We love the store and it’s the only place to find some hard to find items like high heat stir fty oil. If you sign up with their web site you get a pretty steady stream of coupons too!
