Send Your Expired Coupons to Overseas Military Families

I wrote  a post about sending expired coupons to overseas troops last year.

Yesterday a reader asked on Facebook if I knew where to send expired coupons, I double checked the links before I sent her to the old post. To my surprise (and delight) that program actually has a waiting list to donate!

So I did a little more research and found the Overseas Coupon Project You can pick an overseas base to “adopt” then just send them all your expired coupons in a priority mail envelope (you will not pay overseas shipping).  You can see some more mailing hints here.

Another program to check out is the Military Family Coupon Project.

The prices in overseas commissaries are significantly higher than those in the States and military families do not always have access to coupons in newspapers and inserts. Military commissaries overseas accept coupons up to six months past the expiration date.

This is a great way to help those families that serve our country! It would also be a great idea for your club or group to get involved in! At one of your meetings you could all get together and chat while you clip.

  1.  Thanks for posting these links!  I had googled where to send expired coupons and found the site for the Military Coupon Project.  It was a lot less expensive to mail the coupons than I had expected and it felt much better than just throwing them in the trash.  I have gotten together with some fellow couponing friends and we get all of our expired coupons together and take turns mailing them.

  2. http://www.CouponsToTroops is another website that has information on getting coupons directly to military families overseas.  While we don’t list any military families addresses on the site, if anyone needs help in finding a family to send to, we can put you in touch with one of the names on our contact list.  Just email us at admin@couponstotroops.com  and we’ll be happy to help!

I have a lot of coupons that I would not mind
sending “The family in the military overseas.” I am familiar with
shipping overseas military family, so just email me with your address,
and Wil send these on the way to a family abroad.
