Tennessee Tornado Relief Donation Ideas

Thanks to a reader, Kristen, for her great idea for getting bottled water to donate to the tornado relief efforts around town.

Kroger has 3 liter bottles of Deer Park Water included in their Mega Event sale.
So when you buy 10 you will get them each for only $.49. That is a great price and these would be great to donate at any of the drives this week.
Walgreens has great deals on toothbrushes and pampers this week.

Faith United Methodist Church
You can drop donations at Faith United Methodist Church, located at 1120 Dry Gap Pike, Knoxville TN 37918. The church is on the corner of Rifle Range Road and Dry Gap Pike across from Sterchi Park. You can bring donations to the church on Wednesday night from 5:30pm-7:30pm now through May 13th. You can get all the details here. 107.7 WIVK is holding a Charity Drive to help out Tennessee Storm Victims  at the Turkey Creek Walmart in Knoxville on Monday, May 9th from 6-10 AM. They are requesting water, new blankets and new pillows as well as “comfort care items” ( toothpaste toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, lotions, deodorant, germ x, new towels, wet wipes, and diapers.

UT Knoxville and UT Athletics will team up to help residents of the East Tennessee counties that suffered massive damage during last week’s severe weather.
From 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, the UT Volunteers football truck will be parked at the Regal Soccer Stadium on Stephenson Drive, off Neyland Drive. UT staff and students will be on-hand to accept donations, sort, and load the truck which will driven to a Salvation Army distribution center on Wednesday. Items will be provided to people in need from Bradley, Greene, Hamilton, and Washington counties.
