Great Uses for Used Dryer Sheets

This post idea came from comments on the Coupon Katie Facebook page.

Is there any good use for used dryer sheets?

I have a small box on top of my dryer that I use to collect dryer lint and used dryer sheets. However, there always seems to be used dryer sheets in the bottom of my laundry baskets, in sock drawers, in the towels etc. It doesn’t really bother me I just started thinking there has to be some use for these.

Do you have any creative ideas?
To get you started thinking here are a few uses from 20 Household Uses for Used (Yes, Used) Dryer Sheets:

  • Dryer sheets make great dusting cloths for your wooden furniture.
  • Is your hair dry and full of static electricity? Gently wipe a used dryer sheet over your head to get rid of it.
  • Use old dryer sheets to easily wipe up talcum powder, flour, and other messes of this type.

There are a few more ideas on using used dryer sheets here.  These include scrubbing your shower and cleaning bugs off your car!

I am excited to hear your good ideas.

I have doubled them up on my swiffer sweeper whenever I am out of the regular cleaning pads, and they work great to sweep the kitchen floor! It takes 4 to overlap them and cover it with to get it to work.

If you sew, you can use them as a cut-away stabilizer.
