Knoxville Zoo: Free Admission and Supplies for Teachers Saturday 9/17/11

Another great freebie for local teachers!

Kroger’s Atlanta Division will be showing its support for Knoxville area teachers by giving away classroom supplies at the grocer’s “Earning Plus Learning” event at Knoxville Zoo on Saturday, Sept. 17. Zoo admission will be free to teachers on the day of the event. Teachers will receive free zoo admission and a complimentary bag of school supplies upon verification of teacher licensure. Teachers will also receive valuable information regarding all of the zoo’s education programs for the coming school year.

Classroom supplies include:

Copier Paper
Whiteboard markers
Construction Paper
Facial tissues
Hand sanitizer and soap
Sandwich bags
Paper towels
Disinfectant wipes

Teachers will receive items on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Teachers must show proof of teacher licensure in order to receive free admission and complimentary supplies.

Thanks, Michael

Hey Katie…I went to the zoo a few weeks ago and the girl at the counter told me that if you have a teacher card then you get free admission anytime so I was able to get in free that day, which was a nice surprise. You may want to double check that just to make sure. Just an FYI..

  2. So…a homeschool card worked, Emily?  That’s great!  If they don’t honor homeschoolers later, I wonder about homeschoolers with a teaching license….
