I have free diaper coupon why did I HAVE TO PAY TAX AT CVS ITS FREE
The manufacturer only pays the store the price of the item for you. It’s your responsibility to pay the government the tax on the item. I’m sure there’s a law about it somewhere. If you notice, at the grocery store, you get charged tax on whatever the price of your subtotal is before coupons. It’s just how it works, unfortunately.
