Oak Ridge Civic Ballet 2012 Production of the Nutcracker & Ticket Giveaway

The Oak Ridge Civic Ballet Association (ORCBA) begins their 49th season with their annual production of Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker” featuring Ashleyanne Hensley, Noel Dupuis, and Knoxville’s own Julie Cox. On Saturday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 18 at 2:00 p.m., with an encore performance designed for small children on Saturday, November 17 at 11:00 a.m. Molly Koon Quist is Artistic Director and Sharon Nicklow Cousins is Assistant Director. All performances are at the Oak Ridge High School Performing Arts Center. This is your chance to see a fantastic show at a great price!

School Show: Friday November 16, 10:00am $5 per ticket, teachers free

Encore Performance: Saturday November 17, 2:00pm $8 per ticket (great for kids!)

Main Shows: Saturday November 17, 8:00pm

Sunday Matinee November 18, 2:00pm

Ticket Prices:

$20 at the door

Seniors $15

Students $10

 Tickets are available online at orcba.org, the ORNL Federal Credit Union (main branch only), or at the box office prior to each show.

If you are interested in letting your child dance with the Oak Ridge Civic Ballet Association, they hold open auditions in August and need both boys and girls of all skill levels starting at age 5. They also have a spring show and will hold open auditions for that. They find a part for everyone who tries out! You can find all the information on Oak Ridge Civic Ballet Association here.

    I use to dance with ORCBA and was in their Nutcracker production when I was younger! I would take my mother who use to be a ballet dancer and my 3 yr old who is already interested in ballet to see it!
