Knoxville Zoo Partners with MEDIC Regional Blood Center to Encourage Donors & Give Free Zoo Admission

Knoxville Zoo is encouraging donors to give blood to the MEDIC Regional Blood Center during the month of August.  To kick-off the month-long push, MEDIC and Knoxville Zoo will offer a free admission ticket to Knoxville Zoo for anyone who donates blood at any of MEDIC’s area locations on Thursday, August 6th, 2015.

Donors can also help support Knoxville Zoo’s animal conservation programs.  During the month of August, for every donor who opts not to take a blood-drive t-shirt, MEDIC will donate the cost of the shirt to the zoo to support important conservation work, such as the zoo’s world-renowned red panda breeding program and the first Western lowland gorillas ever born in Knoxville.
