Publix Offering Grocery Delivery- First Time FREE

Publix now offers grocery delivery in select areas across the Southeast, three Knoxville locations are included!  It is different than the pick up  programs at Kroger or Walmart , but it sounds easy!  You can enjoy the same quality products that you expect from Publix delivered to your door in as little as one hour. Plus, your first delivery is free!

How does the service work?

Publix Delivery powered by Instacart is a grocery delivery service that allows customers to order Publix groceries online and have them delivered when and where they want.

Instacart shoppers and drivers receive, fill, and deliver your Publix order. They are also responsible for helping customers with any questions or issues with the service, including the website, app, payment processing, order status, refunds, and more.

What About Coupons & BOGOs?

You can take advantage of most BOGOs. But the website does not allow you to mix and match variety, flavor, or size. Printed and digital coupons are not redeemable through Instacart at this time. Not all Publix deals or weekly ad promotions apply. Check the website for current deal offerings.

You can find out all about the program and see FAQ’s here.  You can go here to see all the Publix locations offering delivery.

Free Summer Reading Programs 2017

Summer is here and that means plenty of free time for my kiddos.  I love anything that will encourage them to keep reading this summer.  To that end, here are a few of the Summer Reading programs available this year.  There may be others, locally or nationally, that are out there and I would love to hear about them in the comments section!  I hope one of these will provide some motivation and fun for your family this summer.

Tennessee Smokies Summer Reading Program

If you live in East Tennessee this is a program that you will want to check out. The Tennessee Smokies Summer Reading Program is for Smokies fans 12-and-under.

There are five levels of participation that are to be completed by each child participating. To complete a level all your child has to do is read 10 books, 10 chapters, or have 10 books read to him/her (if your child is not reading yet). Once your child has completed his/her first level, bring the Level 1 reading program form to the ticket office at Smokies Park, and exchange it for prizes and free tickets to a Smokies game. We did this last summer and it was great!  There are several levels you can reach, get all the details here.

And don’t forget they also offer the Straight A program-

Straight A Program

If your child has earned the equivalent of an “A” average or attained perfect attendance for the year, they will get to go to a Smokies game for FREE! Bring their report card and/or perfect attendance certificate to the Smokies Ticket Office and you can receive a free Bleacher Level ticket. The program is valid for students in K-12 and can only be redeemed once per child.
