Walgreens: $0.25 Huggies Wipes

huggiesIf you have to buy baby wipes you should definitely stop by Walgreens this week.

Grab one of the Back-to-School coupon booklets at the front of the store and find the $2 off Huggies Wipes coupon.  I also had 2 $.75/1 coupons that I received in the mail because I am a member of Huggies  Baby Network.  (If you are not and you regularly buy diaper/wipes I would sign up- you’ll get a lot of good coupons mailed to you.)

Here is what I did:

2 Huggies Wipes 72ct- $2.99 each
-$2 Back to School coupon (takes off $4)
-2 $.75/1 mailer coupons
$0.25 filler to make coupon/item ratio work
Total=$.73

My $0.54 Diaper Run and My Rookie Mistake

rookieIf you read this blog often you are probably saying to yourself  “All this girl ever buys is diapers and soy milk.” There are days (like today) that is true.

Yesterday afternoon I realized we were dangerously low on diapers, not a  risk I was willing to take.  So I made a couple quick lists, grabbed some coupons and ran to the store.

Walgreens:
Transaction #1
Reach floss or Toothbrush or Listerine (500 ml)-3/$9, Buy 3 Get $6 RR
-$5/3 coupon 8/2 SS
-$3.50 RR from last week
Total out of pocket=$1.33
Got Back=$6

Stickers-$0.50 (filler item to even out my item to coupon ratio)

When I have more time I will  come up with a better scenario to roll the RR deals going on right now. Plus, the Walgreens I was at had the Back To School coupon books! They are in the front with the weekly ads. So stayed tuned for more great Walgreens deals.
Then it was on to CVS where I made my mistake.
I was checking out, had all my coupons ready when the nice cashier told me she was sorry but my $5 off $25 coupon was not good until 8-10. Argh, I did not check the date on my coupon, it ruined my whole money saving plan. I asked her to take several items off and this is what I got (we HAD to have diapers)

2 Huggies-$18, get $ ECB

CVS Chapblock
-Free coupon from last CVS trip
Total out of pocket=$15.11
Got back=$4
Net=$11.11
Not too bad I know but much more than I had planned.

I did find the Children’s Activity Book! At the Walgreens I was at it was near the registers at the pharmacy. There were several left. I did not find the back to school coupon book though.
