Kroger Deals 3/14/10 and My Plan

This week THE HUSBAND will be doing the grocery shopping! Baby #3 is trying to come a little too early so, I have been told to be off my feet as much as possible. Tonight I am planning out a fairly simple meal plan for the week (if you have any yummy crock pot recipes feel free to send them my way) and making my grocery list. I will definitely post a report after his trip, it should be fun to see how he does.

To find a complete list of the best deals at Kroger this week go here. And don’t forget to play the Kroger March Madness game, I have won free cheese and free coffee!

  1. If you like the California Pizza Kitchen Pizzas they are part of the buy 8 deal and there is a catalina deal running simultaneously for buy 2 get $1, buy 3 get $2, buy 4 get $3. There aren't any coupons for these, but they end up being 1/2 price (compared to usual) after the deal and cat. Also, I found some vit. water tear pads at Walgreens that can be used for the buy 8 sale at Kroger to make the drinks free! Great filler to get to 8 items. Plus they're good for picnics or husband's lunch.

  2. Crock-pot chicken chili: 1pkg “bear creek” tortilla soup mix, 4 frozen chicken breast (if thawed, decrease cooking time) water

dump soup mix and chicken in crock pot add water till chicken is covered-cook 8-10hrs

before serving, pull out chicken, shred, add back to soup
add a can of beans if desired

great with shredded cheese, sour cream, tortilla chips, etc

  3. I'm a big fan of We LOVE the applesauce chicken. Sending stay put baby vibes your way!

  4. Crock Pot Hot Roast Beef Sandwiches – Take a beef chuck roast (2-3lb) and add it to your crockpot. Sprinkle a few shakes of soy sauce over the roast. Sprinkle a dry pack of brown gravy mix evenly over the roast. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. When tender, turn off crockpot and allow to sit for 15 minutes. Shred the roast with 2 forks. It made it's own gravy while it cooked. My family loves to each this on hoagie buns or over bread or biscuits. The left overs are great for a quick beef pot pie.

  5. I’ll post the same information to my blog, thanks for
    ideas and great article.
