Knoxville Boo at The Zoo:A Review and a Giveaway!

What is Boo at the Zoo? Knoxville’s largest Halloween event!  It is 11 nights of safe and not-too-scary Halloween fun Friday and Saturday, October 13, 14 and 15 and continuing Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 20-23 and 27-30, from 5:30-8:00 p.m. each evening.
BOO! at the Zoo, a Halloween tradition for 25 years, is a family event featuring devilishly good music and games at the Monster Mash tent in The Clayton   Cove, your favorite costumed characters throughout the zoo, and the only“haunted” carousel in East Tennessee, the Scary-Go-Round. And best of all, you can trick-or-treat down the BOO! trail for your favorite treats!

Our family had our very first Boo at the Zoo experience last night.  The one hour it was not raining last night we made it down the BOO! trail and the boys filled up their pumpkins with treats.

It is a great event! It was very well organized and staffed. There so many kind volunteers and sponsors all dressed up, waving, smiling and taking pictures. The boys saw Spiderman 3 times, both agree the second was was the “real” Spiderman.

THE HUSBAND and I agree this will be a yearly tradition. For our boys it was pretty much the perfect night-they got to be Darth Vader, see all their favorite super heroes and animals, load up on candy, ride a carousel, and play at the playground. For me, it was safe, friendly, clean, organized and there was a table full of doughnuts! Pretty much my perfect idea of trick or treating.

And now for the giveaway!  We are giving away a Free family 4 pack of tickets to Knoxville Boo at the Zoo!

There are three ways to enter:

1.Leave a comment on this post about your favorite part of Boo at the Zoo (if you have been) or why you would like to go.

2. “Like” the Knoxville Zoo on Facebook, then come back and leave a comment saying you “Like” the Zoo.

3. “Like” Coupon Katie on Facebook then come back and leave a comment telling us you “Like” us.

That is three possible entries per person. This giveaway will end Monday, October 17, 2001 at 8pm.

Coupon Katie was given free tickets to attend and to give away but the opinions above are 100% mine (and the boys when it comes to Spiderman.)

  1. I have already liked Coupon Katie on Facebook!!!

  2. I would like to win the Knoxville Boo at the Zoo tickets because I would love to take my best friend’s daughter. She is 3 years old and she hasn’t ever been to this. I know she would love it!!! I have been before and I love the kid friendly atmosphere and how it isn’t to “scarey”.

  3. This is a complete waste of money. You get 20 pieces of candy and that is it. Not only that if you pay admission the camel rides and carosel should be FREE!!! But its not. Just about everyone I talked to has complained about the value for what you pay. Plus you dont see any animals out 🙁 Boo at the zoo is 2 thumbs down.
