Free ebook: Superfood, Super You

For the last few weeks THE HUSBAND and I have been watching documentaries like Food Inc, Food Matters, and Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.

We have talked a lot about changing the way we eat around here. (Not that we eat that unhealthy) It is slightly overwhelming to me.  I am more  a fan of slow and steady change than sweeping reform. How will I get the boys to eat this way? Can we afford to eat this way?  Where do you even start? How do I find the time to learn all of this? (Definitely thinking it won’t be until #4 is sleeping through the night.)

I downloaded a free copy of  Superfood, Super You. It seems like a good place to start.

If you are interested you can download your free copy of  Superfood, Super You Here

Thanks, Healthy and Balanced

  1. Katie, if you have Netflix, you can search under TED talks.  They have a section of the TED talks related to food with some of the most highly respected names on the subject giving their thoughts on food, scarcity, sustainability, health, and the childhood obesity epidemic.  Some of my favorites thus far have been from Mark Bittman, Jamie Oliver, and Chef Ann Cooper.  Chef Ann has a great website where she discusses food as it relates to school lunches.  While you homeschool (ie no worries about school lunches), there are lots of tips and ideas that could be helpful.  For example, the idea of recess/physical activity before lunch makes a lot of sense, and we try to do that around our home whenever possible.  HTH!  Tell your crew hi for me!
