Target & Best Buy to Match Online Competitor Prices This Holiday Season

The holiday price wars have already begun. Both Target and Best Buy have announced they will match certain online competitor’s prices.  This is an interesting move in the battle for holiday shoppers.

On one hand this will mean lower prices on some big ticket items and you will be able to take your purchase home with you that day.  You won’t have to pay shipping charges and you won’t have to schedule deliveries.

On the other hand, I am a interested to see how this works when stores are busy and someone is trying to online price match everything in their cart. That could be an hour long check out!  Also, it will be logistically interesting as online prices change quickly.  If you have to print off the online price and bring it in it may no longer be available when the store verifies.
