Knoxville Fourth of July Fun Family Events


Here are a few of the Fourth of July Festivities going on in the Knoxville area!

Knoxville’s annual Festival on the Fourth kicks off at 5 p.m. on July 4th at World’s Fair Park. Throughout the day festival goers will be treated to good music, good food, good fun and good times on the South and North lawns of Worlds’ Fair Park. Starting at 8 p.m., the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will begin their concert on the South Lawn. The two-hour show will feature both patriotic and Americana pieces. Fireworks start at 9:35 p.m.  FREE parking is available at World’s Fair & Blackstock Parking Lots, 11th Street, Locust Street, State Street & Market Square Garages, with ADA parking at the Fort Kid Parking Lot.

The Farragut Independence Day Parade kicks off at 9:30 a.m. on the 4th of July! The parade will begin on Kingston Pike at Lendon Welch Way (Farragut High School entrance) and continue to Boring Road, just east of Farragut Towne Square Shopping Center (old Ingles store site).

The Powell July 4th Parade begins at 11 a.m. The parade route goes along Emory Road beginning at Food City. The parade coincides with fun activities for the whole family, including Party Boys DJ, children’s zone, FREE snow cones and hotdogs, and face painting, hosted by the Powell Business Professional Association.

**One update- due to the weather forcast, Oak Ridge’s display is now on Sunday, July 7th. Athens’ show is moved to Saturday, July 6th at 9:30 at the Athens Regional Park.
