  1. My daughter is just a toddler and isn’t in school yet. However, I love making her a smoothie each day with fruit, Greek yogurt, flax seeds and a bonus veggie like kale or spinach. You can’t taste the greens, she thinks it’s a fun treat and I know she’s getting a lot of her vitamins and other nutrients.

    When the kids start back our schedule changes and I try to make sure to keep it the same and I also try to make sure that their meals are well balanced and they get lots of water . I keep a basket of chopped ready to grab fruits and veggies in baggies so when they need more fuel they have something good to put in their bodies!

    I like to teach them good habits all year long so there isn’t a big transition come school. But we wash our hands more frequently and dress weather appropriate.

    When my son was in school, it was very important to get into a routine. About a week before school would start, we would start by getting to bed earlier and waking up earlier. 🙂

    My best advice for keeping kids healthy is plenty of rest, vitamins, and washing hands often.

  11. We love free play time, not to encourage them in ways that over schedules them, and everyone suffers. We try to have good habits to emulate, not do as I say and not as I do!

    I start our school schedule, make sure they eat breakfast and get plenty of rest and exercise.
