THE PROOF- Kroger 3-16-09

031609-krogerMy trip to Kroger today was somewhat frustrating. Why? Well, my two boys were crazy, I forgot to bring two important coupons, two of my cellfire coupons did not ring up and they were already out of a few things I needed to make my deals really work.

All that being said I spent $54.39 and still  saved $61.61 (56%).

$54.39 at Kroger + $8.06 at Target= $62.45 for the week.

My goal is to spend no more this week.

I’ll let you know how that goes.

This Week’s Planning Post

planningpostI am still planning my shopping lists for the week.  With all the great deals last week I won’t have to buy much this week!

Kroger has extended their mix and match sale so, I have loaded my Kroger card and made my list. This week Stretching a Buck helped me plan. I’ll let you know soon how that goes.

I have already posted the Walgreens deals and if you are a CVS shopper you can go here and here for the best deals of the week.

Mott’s Applesauce and Silk soy milk are great deals at Target this week but other than that I was not too excited. If you find a great deal let me know, I love going to Target.

The Proof 3-7-09

030609-krogerA visit from a stomach bug caused an unplanned trip to Kroger today.

Here is how it worked out:

2 bottles Pedialyte $5.29 each

used 2 $2.00 coupons from 3/1 insert and one $2.oo Catalina

1 package Comfort Diapers $5.99 on sale

used $3.oo printable coupon

Dentyne Ice Gum $1.09 – I used $0.75 coupon

And I bought some bananas

I paid $10.57, according to my reciept a 53% savings.

Aslo, Pedialyte has a deal going when you buy two Pedialyte products you get a Catalina for $2 off  your next Kroger purchase.

Not bad.

Kroger Money Making Shopping

krogerlogoHere is a perfect example how a little planning, printing, and organizing can make you money on the products you buy.

Until March 21, 2009 – Kroger has a great deal:

Buy 3 Pillsbury refrigerated items, Get $1.50 Catalina
Buy 4 Pillsbury refrigerated items, Get $2 Catalina
Buy 5 Pillsbury refrigerated items, Get $3 Catalina

Check out the Pillsbury coupons here. And the Catalina Coupons are those coupons that are printed at check out.

From Money Saving Mom The small tubes of crescent rolls and cinnamon rolls are on sale at many Kroger stores 10 for $10 this week so use the $0.25/1 or $0.30/1 coupons, these would be FREE plus overage after the coupons and catalina.

Don’t worry if you’re a bit confused.  I was too at first.  But after some practice, you’ll be making money on some of your purchases.  Click here and here to learn more about this deal.
